Deerwood Golf & Country Club in Jacksonville FL is located near
the intersection of Baymeadows Rd. & Southside Blvd, perhaps one
of the most convenient locations in Northeast Florida. Residents
have easy access to Butler Blvd and I-95, for short commutes to
Jacksonville Beaches as well as Downtown Jacksonville FL and the
Southside business district. Residents in Deerwood Country Club
also enjoy the new St. Johns Town Center shopping mall as well as
the Avenues mall within a five minute drive.
Amenities within the Deerwood community include a private golf
course with a driving range and golf putting green, 16 lighted clay
tennis courts, clubhouse with banquet style dining room & meeting
rooms, fitness center, Olympic size pool, children's pool, large
playground, and direct access to a private Jacksonville Country Day
Elementary School. Residents in Deerwood also have the security of
two guarded, gated entrances to the community; one on Baymeadows Rd.
and one on Southside Blvd, two of the main thoroughfares in the area.
The original golf clubhouse in Deerwood was recently demolished, to
make way for a much more modernized, elegant version.
Deerwood Country Club Homes
Deerwood Country Club is the oldest gated country club in Jacksonville,
Florida, with the first homes built in the 1960's. Due to a build out
duration of over 40 years, there is also no other golf course community
in Jacksonville with as large of a diversity of homes. Also due to the
age of the community, Deerwood Golf & Country Club is known for larger
lot sizes, with the average lot in the community containing around 1/2
an acre. Lot sizes will range from less than 1/4 acre to over 5 acres.
Deerwood features around 900 upscale single family homes.
On the East side of the Deerwood community is "The Estates", featuring
many of the larger homes in the community, some on several acre parcels.
There are also two different condo communities inside Deerwood as well.

for a new custom home to tear down some of the older Deerwood Homes to
build their own custom estate on the lot! Deerwood Development Corp.
recently sold off one of its last remaining parcels of land to the JD
Collins, one of the largest landowners in Northeast Florida. New custom
