It was only 10 years ago, and almost all of these golf course communities were non existant. NW. St. Johns County has experienced one of the highest levels of growth over the last decade. Golf course home prices in general are less than many areas of Jacksonville, especially the beaches and Southside areas. NW. St. Johns County also has some of the top rated schools, and many of these golf course communities are only a short drive to Jacksonville. Many of the residents work in Jacksonville, and enjoy lower tax rates and higher rated schools. The communities in the heart of St. Augustine have a diverse selection of schools, some not so highly rated.

Orange Park Golf and West Jacksonville Florida Golf Course Homes
All of these golf course communities with the exception of Bent Creek and Panther Creek are located in Clay County. These encompass a very large area of Northeast Florida. West Jacksonville is known for having poor schools, Clay County has very highly rated schools. All of these communities are West of the St. Johns River, and in general, home prices are much less than comparable communities in Jacksonville that are East of the river.
